Example 2 - Enthralling and educative.

I found another such example in Sri. TMK's concert on 28th February for bhAratiya sangIta vaibhavam at sivagAmi pethAchi Auditorium. The concert started with mAyE tvam yAhi in tarangini. He then went ahead singing kalpana swarAs which were enthralling. He sang the original version, also mentioning after the song that the raga tarangini we sing today (version similar to chenchurutti) is unfortunately erroneous and different from what it is actually.

The succeeding compositions were vishwanAtham bhajEham in raga natAbharanam. The vocalist the said that this rAga is often thought to be same as nAtakapriyA but there is a difference between the prayogAs of the two rAgAs. Next was srI nAthAdi guruguhO jayati jayati in mAyAmAlavagowla. Sri TMK then explained the intricacies of this composition. To mention a few, the pallavi's first line is based on sarali varisai and the second line based on janta varisai and so on. Couldn't ask for more.
